My love for photography started way back in my freshman year of high school, in a 35mm film class. We dabbled in digital too, and WOW—I was hooked.

Buuut… long story short (kind of), someone stole all my camera gear straight out of the classroom. Just like that, my photography dreams got put on hold. Fast forward years later—Christmas of 2018—my husband surprised me with my very first camera. For months, I’d been talking his ear off about wanting to dive into couples + wedding photography, but let’s be real… starting out is hard and expensive. He believed in me before I fully believed in myself. And now? Here I am, shooting weddings and couples full-time—living my absolute dream.

For me, photography isn’t just about taking pretty pictures, it’s about building real friendships and making sure you have the best experience possible. I’m here for you from start to finish, making sure your wedding day feels like the best damn day of your life.

I live for the real stuff—the belly laughs, the happy tears, the holy shit, we just got married! moments, the messy, tipsy dance floor chaos, and everything in between. Every little moment, every emotion—documented exactly as it happened, so you can relive it over and over again.

hey there, i'm dana

It's so nice to meet you

LET'S BE FRIENDS!

WHAT INSPIRES ME

Photography has always been a part of me, but what really made me want to be a wedding photographer? Meeting my husband.

I wish I had even thought about having someone capture moments of us before we got engaged—just because. No big reason, no milestone, just a way to document us in that chapter of life. And that’s why I firmly believe you don’t need a special occasion to take professional photos with your person. Like… why not? It gets you both out of your comfort zone, and I can promise you—we’re gonna have a freakin’ blast.

Taking photos doesn’t have to feel stressful or awkward. Let’s make this your session, catered to your relationship. Want to bring your favorite six-pack? Taco Bell? Your dog? Whatever feels like you—bring it, and we’ll make it part of your story.

I want you to look back at these photos and remember exactly how you felt in that moment. The silly, unfiltered, raw love you share? That’s what I’m here to document.

FACTS ABOUT ME

A little about me… aka, things you never knew you needed to know:

✨ I have two big floofs—Apollo & Zero—who basically run my life.

✨ My heart and soul belong in the desert.
✨ Forever an emo kid—All Time Low, The Maine, and Our Last Night are my top-tier bands.
✨ But I also have an undying love for Harry Styles. Balance, right?

MY LOVE STORY

I married my best friend after meeting him twice. Yep, twice. And both times? Only for about eight hours each.

It all started when one of my best friends joined the Air Force and ended up in a class with this guy named Connor. She kept talking about how excited she was for me to visit her in Texas, and one day, he hit her with the best line ever:
“I bet she’s cute, huh?” Lo and behold—he thought I was. (Yay, me!)

We were supposed to meet that weekend, but his whole squadron got in trouble and got stuck with weekend duty. So not only did I not meet him, but I barely saw my friend either. Rude. Fast forward a few months—somehow, he got ahold of my Snapchat, and the rest is history.

I drove eight hours to meet him, and our first day together was straight out of a movie. He was home in California for two weeks before heading to his permanent base in Louisiana, so we made the most of it. Breakfast, the aquarium (where I almost broke his nose during our first kiss—oops), then the beach. The next day, I left… only to turn around and do that eight-hour drive all over again just to see him one more time before he left.

A part of me thought I’d never see him again after that, like how could this possibly work? But deep down, I just knew—this was my person. After months of texts, FaceTimes, and calls, I packed up and moved from Arizona to Louisiana to be with him. A month later, we eloped in the living room of the sweetest old lady on 9/3/2017. Two years after that, we had our actual wedding in Julian, CA, surrounded by friends and family on 10/24/2019.

And now? Life has been a wild, beautiful ride.

In 2022, the military moved us from Louisiana to North Dakota, where we literally built our own home from the ground up. And in 2024, we’re finally heading back to Arizona for good in October—just in time to welcome our first baby girl in November.

So, why am I telling you all this? Because I get it. I get what it feels like to find your person and just know. And on your wedding day, I’ll be right there—handing you tissues, hyping you up, and probably crying behind my camera. Oh, and don’t worry, I’ll absolutely be your personal dress-holder, too.

Let’s document your love story exactly as it unfolds—just like mine. ❤️

WHERE I'M FROM

I grew up in Mesa, AZ, and lived there until I was 21—when I packed up and moved to Louisiana to be with the most perfect guy in the world.

From August 2017 to January 2022, we called Shreveport, LA, home. And while we had some great times there (and I’m forever grateful that it’s where my photography career really took off), we always knew Louisiana wasn’t our forever. Coming from Arizona, it was a huge change—no mountains, no hiking, and holy humidity. 😅 But more than anything, I missed my family. Moving away made me realize just how much I had taken Arizona for granted, and that longing for home never really went away.

In July 2021, my husband got orders for Minot, North Dakota, so off we went! We made the move in January 2022, and honestly? We love it here. Sure, it’s not Arizona, but we’ve made it our own. We even built our first home from the ground up, which has been the most incredible experience—getting to design a space that’s truly ours.

But Arizona is home, and this fall, we’re heading back for good! In October 2024, we’ll be moving back to AZ permanently, just in time to welcome our first baby girl in November. 🥹

So, if you’ve made it this far, you can probably tell that I market myself mostly to Arizona + the West Coast, and that’s because I’m putting all my focus there. If you’re in the Phoenix area, good news—I don’t charge travel fees for any weddings or sessions back home! That said, I’m still taking inquiries for North Dakota, the Midwest, and beyond—so if you love my work, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make some magic together!

I’ve always known there’s magic in the little moments, but it wasn’t until I became a mom that I really understood the depth of it all. Suddenly, it was the small things—the quick glances, those quiet in-between moments—that meant the most.

A photograph isn’t just about freezing a moment—it’s about bringing you back to the feeling, the love, the laughter, and all that the moment held. Documenting my family and my daughter through this lens fills me with so much joy and reminds me of the true magic and meaning behind this work.

my philosophy

I believe the most powerful moments between couples are the quiet, intimate ones—the unspoken connections and the simple gestures that happen when no one’s watching. These are the moments that tell the real story of who you are together.

I don’t just want to capture your wedding day; I want to preserve the raw, authentic love you share. It’s those intimate, fleeting moments that truly show your bond, and that’s what I strive to capture for you—memories that bring you back to those real, beautiful moments.

I value the simple things throughout your love story: the stolen glances, the soft touches, and the natural interactions that unfold effortlessly. I’m committed to ensuring that none of these moments are missed. It’s these quiet, unspoken connections that truly tell your love story in a way that is unique to just the two of you. By capturing these simple yet profound moments, I aim to preserve the essence of your relationship in its most authentic form.
