This intimate wedding in Joshua Tree California is a special one. In honor of my best friend Bri and her husband Matt just having their 1 year wedding anniversary- I think it is time to blog their day.

Not only is Bri one of closest and dearest friends but she is also my business partner, we own The Roam Collective Co, where we get to travel all over the country teaching photographers from all over how to break into the wedding industry. Now that I have explained that I am going to be calling her B (because that’s what I call her, lol).

I didn’t shoot B and Matt’s entire day, I just shot film here and there because it was important to her that I was still present during her day. Which makes total sense.

After months and months of planning the big day was finally here- well weekend I should say! They had all their closest people fly in a couple days before the wedding so everyone could explore around their favorite place. They rented out the Integratron for us to all experience together and it was an out of body experience. Seriously if you ever find yourself in Jtree you gotta book yourself to get in there. The night before their intimate wedding in Joshua Tree California they had a welcome dinner and I went back with B to her airbnb to spend the night before the big day. Now, if you think we stayed up all night drinking and partying the night away.. we didn’t. We went straight to bed LOL.

The following morning our other half, the third to The Roam- Meaghan with Black Fern Beauty Co came to hang with us but most importantly get us ready for the big day! It was so surreal being in this moment with B and having Meaghan their with us. The day was rainy, chill, and filled with an extramental amount of love, joy and happiness.

I captured some details, and their portraits. I even recorded B and Matt’s first look on a little camcorder too and I just cried SO MUCH during the day. B’s details were to die for and the pops of red! Oh my god, the pops of red were MAGICAL. After their first look and portraits I put my camera down to be fully present but you still get the gist of the day.
