Lake Pleasant Engagement Session

This Lake Pleasant engagement session will be one of my favorites. Carissa and Frankie live in New Jersey but Carissa does have family in AZ! After we got talking we realized that we actually lived quite close to each other!

Carissa and Frankie reached out to me because they saw that I shoot film. It was super important that we incorporated film into their session. These two wanted to have two locations for their engagement photos. First one was going to be on a sailboat in Lake Pleasant. Second one back at The Superstition Mountains. As soon as I heard sailboat I was geeking over how excited I was!

We started the afternoon off with meeting at Lake Pleasant and heading straight into photos! Bob with Sail Boat AZ was our captain for the evening and he did a great job explaining the lakes history. He knew all the spots within’ the lake to take us for the best photo ops too! We just cruised around the lake and used every inch of the boat for photos. Engagement session are however you and your love want them to be, so never be afraid incorporate elements that are important to you.

Next, we heading down to the Superstition Mountains. Probably my favorite spot to shoot within’ the valley. I grew up 15 minutes from them, so they’re pretty special to me. We got here a little before blue hour so the light was pure magic. Carissa also changed into her third outfit and omg it was SO CUTE. We wrapped the night up with a lot of flash film photos and they were 10000000% the vibe.

I cannot wait to celebrate you two getting married at The Sups and then your reception in New Jersey next year!
